experience with 10 years in the Taj Group of Hotels,
Jayprakash Industries, the Yugoslav Trade Commission and
the Oberoi Group of Hotels, started L Mathews
Associates, in 1994, as an organization offering
Consultancy Services in the “Hospitality Business” (
ie the business of Hotels, Resorts, Restaurants, Service
Apartments, Spas, Ecotourism Zones etc.)

L Mathews Associates facilitated Business Start Ups, Strategic Innovative Business Projects, Technical Operations, Management & Marketing. It facilitated 12 business units in the hospitality business, nationally and in Singapore.
In 1995, under the umbrella of L Mathews Associates engaged in facilitation and training for the corporate world, Emmpower was launched. It was born as an answer to a calling to make a positive difference to the corporate lives of people through the “being” of a facilitator and the “skill” of facilitation and training.
By 1997, L Mathews Associates (LMA) also became a business partner to RMA, a Mumbai based financial consulting firm, offering financial consultancy and customer service to clients of RMA. Another marriage of business dynamics and people dynamics.
In 2002, Emmpower, driven by its “purpose” of making a larger positive difference to the corporate lives of people, engaged in a non – profit movement with Initiatives of Change, IC, an international non - profit orgainisation, with it’s Indian base in Panchgani, in conducting “Wholesome Leadership” programmes for the corporate world.
We are now blessed with a growing, networked team of professional, passionate, purposeful facilitators and trainers throughout India and some parts of the world, influencing and contributing to an emerging new world.
